WORLD TOURISM DAY NIGERIA 2018
2018 World Tourism Day (WTD) theme is “TOURISM AND THE DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION”. WTD 2018 will help to put the opportunities provided to tourism, by technological advances including big data, artificial intelligence and digital platforms, on the map of sustainable development. The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) sees digital advances and innovation as part of the solution to the challenge of marrying continued growth with a more sustainable and responsible tourism sector.

ATTWON OPEN HOUSE EDITION: WORLD TOURISM DAY 2018
On 27th September, 2018, I was one of the guest panel at ATTWON’s Open House Edition to celebrate World Tourism Day 2018 which held at their ATTWON Creative Hub in Yaba, Lagos.
All the speakers were given the opportunity to share how we have been using technology to promote Tourism in Nigeria. I spoke about the summit and how it was reaching people not only in Nigeria but outside Africa too. That is the power of technology and how it is transforming the Tourism industry worldwide. I also spoke about how I use my social media platforms and my blog to promote Tourism in my space. There were also debates around how the Tourism industry can be improved. It was a very engaging event.
So how did you celebrate World Tourism Day in your country or city this year? Please do tell!
