Al Musafeera (The Traveller)

You have dreams, don’t you? Dreams that you pray that someday the dreams will come true? Well I have…I still dream and am working towards achieving those dreams…trust me.

All my life, I have had one BIG dream (there are more but this one is almost like the ultimate!). That BIG dream is to travel the whole world! I guess I have mentioned it to y’all on my “World Wonders” article. Now, you can see that am dead serious!

There are so many places I want to land before I die. Apart from the World Wonders I mentioned in my earlier article, I have the following dream destinations for each continent (would only mention one of each….then late in my upcoming articles would list the others):

AFRICA – Marrakech, Morocco
Also called the “Red City”, Marrakech has the largest traditional market (souk) in Morocco and also has one of the busiest squares in Africa and the world called Djemaa el Fna. The square bustles with acrobats, story-tellers, water sellers, dancers, and musicians. By night, food stalls open in the square turning it into a huge busy open-air restaurant. After Egypt, this is another “Afro-Arab” land I so want to visit. It would be nice to see the King of Morocco, too. *wink*

ASIA – Bangkok, Thailand

Bangkok is the capital, largest urban area and primary city of Thailand. Bangkok, sometimes called “The Big Chilli” is one of the world’s tourist hotspots. Really want to go here!!!!

AUSTRALIA – Queensland

Queensland is also known as the “Sunshine State” because it enjoys warm weather and a most parts of the state is in the tropics. You can go surfing, visit the wildlife, visit the zoo, enjoy varieties of cultural food and there is so much fun you can find! I want to go here because it’s far, far away and that’s what I call adventure!!! And I want to see the rarest animals like the Koala and the Kangaroo (don’t be surprised to see a photo of me riding on a kangaroo, one day…lol!)

EUROPE – Santomeri, Greece

Got to know more about this place in the “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” and “Mamamiya” movies. It is situated in a valley area, the mountains lies to the west and Mount Skollis to the east. The farmlands are mainly in the valley areas as well as forests. Grasslands are to the west and barren rock to the east. Now, that’s what you call a peaceful and lovely place to spend a hoilday. Sigh……

If you have gone to the Middle East and you have never stepped into Dubai….that’s a “no,no!!”. Dubai is called the “shopping capital of the Middle East”. You can go on a desert safari tour, go cruising, go shopping at the the local markets called “souk”, visit the magical city and visit the amusement park (I recommend Wild Wadi Water Park…It’s amazing! Would love to go there!!). There is so much to do here. Inshallah… going to Dubai sooon!!!!

NORTH AMERICA – Disney land, Florida

All my life, I have been a Disney fan. And so what better way than to go to Disneyland and see my favorite characters (Yeah! I know…I haven’t overcome some of my childhood traits…lol!). You can go to Disneyland in Paris or Tokyo, too. Anyone is fine by me….as long as it’s Disneyland!!!! I need not say much about this place. But if you are a Disney fan, like me….you just have to visit the land before you give up the ghost! It would bring back good old memories……(grinning).

SOUTH AMERICA – Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

The English translation of “Rio de Janeiro” is “River of January”. Interesting!
Apart from it’s beautiful beaches, you can explore the giant statue of Christ the Redeemer (‘Cristo Redentor’) on top of the Corcovado mountain, which is named as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Also, don’t forget the Sambódromo, a permanent parade avenue lined with grandstands which is used during Carniva. Visit Maracanã stadium, one of the world’s largest football stadiums!! Rio de Janeiro will host the 2016 Summer Olympics, the first South American city to host the event and will host the final match for 2014 FIFA World Cup! Hmmmm….am going for the World Cup in Rio de Janeiro!!! Don’t say I didn’t tell u!!!!
