Ekabo, o! It’s been a minute! Been so busy with some upcoming projects that I have not had time to blog. So much has happened since my last blog post. I was recently nominated by The PYNE Awards for “RISING STAR OF THE YEAR (TOURISM)” category. Though I didn’t win, I am so honored. It’s encouraging to know that my seemly tiny steps in promoting tourism in my own little corner is being noticed 😊
ABOUT THE PYNE AWARDS
The PYNE Awards is aimed at celebrating excellence, growth and hard work of all stakeholders in the hospitality and tourism industry in Nigeria. It was founded to tell the success stories of individuals who have made a mark in the industry and can be emulated by the younger generation of industry professionals.
THE PYNE AWARDS NOMINATION
A few months ago, I got a mail nominating me for The PYNE Awards “Rising Star of the Year (Tourism)” category. First I was wondering what the PYNE Award was about. Secondly I was wondering how I qualified in the first place. Don’t get me wrong, but honestly I didn’t think I qualified because I just started my tourism business less than 6 months ago. But hey…here I was nominated along side my Travel & Tourism sisters Funmi Oyatogun, Sikemie Ifederu, Jubilian Ngaruwa, Miriam Chiazor and Dein Gbabo.😊 I feel highly honored to have been selected to be among such great women who are doing great things in the tourism industry.
MORAL OF THE STORY
It doesn’t matter how long or how far but what matters is how well you are doing what you are doing. So just keep doing what you do well. Eventually people that matter would recognize your seemly little contribution and impact you are doing in your own little corner 😊
Cheer to Miriam for winning the award for us! 🎉 She is the real MVP! 😉
A special shout out to the Founder of The PYNE Awards, Amaka Amatokwu-Ndekwu. Thanks for recognizing the seemly ‘unrecognized’ in the hospitality and tourism industry in Nigeria. Congratulations on the success of the maiden “The PYNE Awards”.
Thanks to everyone, who voted for me. Cheers to many more greater heights 🥂
And above all, Thank You, Jesus! 😇🙏
